A damn sweet video, featuring the good boys from Jump4Heros, brightening the day of children whose parents are currently serving in Afghanistan. Santa unfortunately couldn’t bring their mom or dads home for the holidays, but at least he was able to give them a good show, hand out some presents and most importantly – deliver the children heartfelt letters from their parents.

Well there’s nothing like raising awareness for our Troops. Throwing yourself off some insane mountains, buzzing the cliff face in a wingsuit and having a ton of fun is certainly a great way to do so.

In the build up to Veterans Day on 11 Nov (the funny British way of saying November 11), our British colleagues sell red poppies and everyone around the country wears one in recognition of those that have served. Our friends Jump4Heroes have emblazoned their gear with Poppy logos in an effort to get the message out in their own ‘extreme’ way. Our favorite video of theirs shows some pretty darn cool wingsuit proximity flying in the Italian mountains. Check it out and click ‘like’ if you support their efforts.

The Jump4Heroes guys have been at it again.  This time they’ve been skydiving with an animated character called Mobi. He’s the Mascot of Phones For Heroes, a company that raises money for military charities by recycling cell phones. The team wanted to help them raise awareness of their cause and so set about donating a cell phone while in freefall and alongside the company’s mascot. The cause is especially close to the hearts of the Jump4Heroes team – 2 of them are currently serving in Afghanistan (this was filmed just before they deployed).

The Jump4Heroes guys have recently returned from a BASE jumping trip in Italy.  They’ve put together this stunning video that we just have to share with you.  They did this all for charity trying to raise awareness for those that serve or have served their country.  If you like it then please share it.

The Royal British Legion Extreme Human Flight Team, Jump4Heroes, had a little encounter – entirely amicable – with the German Police last weekend.

Team members were training at the Joint Service Parachute Centre in Bad Lippspringe, Germany, in preparation for the forthcoming Canopy Piloting National Championships and the subsequent World Championships. After a long day flying their Competition Velocities across the impressive swoop pond, they decided to break out their new Poppy-branded Vampire 3 wingsuits for a quick jump.

From 16,000 feet up, Major Alastair Macartney and Warrant Officer Class One Spencer Hogg, with Corporal Stuart Storey flying on camera, flew out over the ranges of Sennelager training area.  They were carving around the cloud formations, creating an amazing show for those watching below, really putting the new suits through their paces on their maiden voyage.

After swooping down to a safe landing on their Competition Velocities, they gathered up their gear and headed inside to pack up their kit. As they did so, two German police cars screeched on to the scene to apprehend the Jump4Heroes daredevils.

It turned out that the people in the local town had never before seen high speed wingsuit flying in this style. Unsure of what it was and how to react, they had reported the “UFOs” to the local police.

It all ended amicably with the team members showing the police their equipment and demonstrating the flight modes.

They invited the police to come up on a jump but their offer was politely declined, strangely…

On Tuesday His Royal Highness Prince Harry launched awards for Friends of the Forces to encourage people out there to support those serving in the British military. Prince Harry has served on the frontline in Afghanistan and has also made a skydive.
