EpicFlight.tv

There is yet another website to suck up your time on the ground, EpicFlight.tv. Founder  David says,

I am a passionate Hang Gliding pilot and Skydiver and I spend a lot of un-flyable time watching inspirational and epic flight videos. I put my free time this winter towards developing a Video Channel for the flying community - www.EpicFlight.tv and on facebook: www.facebook.com/epicflight.tv .

Everyone is invited to share Epic and Inspiring Videos about Skydiving, Hang Gliding, paragliding and other forms of human flight on this website. I felt a strong (personal) need for such a platform as it was hard trying not to miss the good videos and filtering through all the mainstream/youtube-suggestions to find them. This channel will also help connecting talented pilots and film-makers on a global scale.

Kickstarting “On Borrowed Wings” – the documentary

We have told you a little bit about the documentary “On Borrowed Wings” before. If you missed that, click here to catch up and then come right back.

They are ready to move into phase 2 with funding to get this baby off the ground, utilizing the popular website Kickstarter. What is Kickstarter? Well, basically a funding platform that allows people who dream big (or medium) to raise capital for making those dreams (or projects) to come true, with the help of good peeps who can spare a few dollars.

But, this is not like your average PayPal donation where you just get a nice email saying thanks. When you help Kickstart something, you usually get some swag or recognition in return. The size of that frequently depends on the size of your contribution – you pledge – to the cause.  Check out their Kickstarter page for more information – and what you get for your pledged $$ to see if this project is something you’d want to get behind.

DaNcEcLaSs – BASE Edition

You BASE hounds are probably quite familiar with a blog published by Cynthia Lynn – the Cynthia Lynn Chronicles.

Cynthia has a gift when it comes to interviewing people and telling their stories and we have been very fortunate to have her share her work on the pages of Blue Skies Magazine.  She recently shared the video below on her blog (orignal post with a bit more info here). Today, the world has been all serious and proper for hours on end following the election of a new pope (for those of you that follow current events at all, although I’m sure there is a healthy chunk of skydivers still blissfully unaware that anything at all was going down in the Vatican).

It’s time to shake it up a little bit and have some fun. Enjoy. I dare you to sit still!
