Russian skydiver seriously injured at Perris

Well known Russian skydiver Irina Sinitsyna remains in serious condition after a collision during opening at Perris Valley Skydiving, in Perris, CA on Sunday September 23rd, 2012. The collision followed a wingsuit jump.

The details are still a little unclear, but it appears that after the collision the other jumper cut away and landed fine under reserve. Irina was able to jettison her main and deploy the reserve quite low. She appeared to land under a fully inflated reserve but without any input.

We anticipate that the USPA will release a report on the incident once fully investigated.
We send our best wishes of full and complete recovery to Irina. Our thoughts are with her friends and family.
