Skydive Houston moves to Eagle Lake

Kristi Wiley-Bell reports that Skydive Houston recently moved to to Eagle Lake, TX – about 60 miles west of downtown Houston.

“After a lengthly lawsuit with homeowners in Waller, TX, the dropzone decided it was time to simply find a new home, plus as a company and a dropzone, they had outgrown the existing landing area and facilities. Eagle Lake provides us over 120 acres of landing area, with 88 acres just designated to our jumpers. Also, the best thing of all is that we finally have lights on the runway. Our new airport has a brand new 4,000 foot lighted, paved runway, which means that we can do night jumps again. We now have the opportunity to build bigger and better facilities for a top notch dropzone, which can accommodate fun jumpers from all over the world. The support from the community has been so welcoming and the scenery from above is by far superior to what we saw in Waller.”

We wish Skydive Houston all the best in the future – jump hard and have fun.
