Book of Skydiving Formations goes iPad

After shutting the doors of the much beloved Skydiving Magazine almost two years ago, Mike Truffer has had some time to catch up with latest technology – and has been seen running around the airport with a shiny iPad between his hands. Not that we are jealous or anything.
The Skydiving Book Service has also kept active, and Mike recently notified us that “The Book of Skydiving Formations” was now available in an iPad edition:

The Book of Skydiving Formations” is now available as an ebook for the Apple iPad.

The ebook edition is essentially a duplicate of the printed book: Page after page of skydiving formations ranging in size from 2-ways through 20-ways (2-, 3-, 4-, 5-, 6-, 7-, 8-, 9-, 10-, 11-, 12-, 13-, 14-, 15-, 16-, 17-, 18-, 19- and 20-ways). There are more than 1000 belly-fly formations in all, some easy, some difficult. There’s also a chapter of tips on organizing successful formation skydives.
You can download the ebook right now from the iTunes website of your choice, either the one for the USA, or the one for Canada, France, Germany or Great Britain. It will soon be available in Australia’s iTunes, too.
The ebook edition is optimized for the iPad, although it displays on other compatible devices. Illustrations are sharp and crisp, and navigating the book is simple. You can download the first few pages for free at iTunes, to see for yourself.
