Canadian jumper Aaron “Crash” Moore passed away this morning at Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach, FL. He landed off-field at Skydive DeLand yesterday morning and was being prepared for surgery. Early reports indicated non-life-threatening injuries.

    I meet “Crash” a few times at SkyDive Deland. My Daughter home site is deland. After a year, Crash and others convinced me to tandem. It was great crash videotaped my jump and was super nice and did a greatjob. I was there the day he had his last jump. He will be missed by all that knew him and enjoyed his wit..:) Now he is jumping cloud to cloud

      “Crash” just took my video August 22nd. After hearing about the accident I haven’t watched it since. I think I will now. I’m sorry he is gone and my condolences are with his family. Every time I jump now I will think of him before I leave the door. Blue Skies “Crash”. I wish I would have known you better. Fly Free Brother!

    I went to school with him in north bay… he was the sweetest guy, quiet at the time but funny! I wish his family comfort during this hard time for them.

      It’s hard to really say what I want to…. I was his wife. Your well wishes are more than enough comfort in this time. Thank you for… well, thank you.
      He was hilarious! That’s one of the reasons we loved each other.
      I wish I could have known him longer. If you have any good stories, I would love to hear them.

    I went to highschool with Aaron as well. Didn’t know him super well, but enough to know he was a good guy.

    I met Hannah today at locals night out at The Perfect Spot. She is a real special lady. Crash filmed my AFF #7 graduation jump on Aug. 12, 2009. I had spoke with him a few times before and he was always fun to chat with. I saw Crash the morning of the accident before I had to go to work. He was the last person I said goodbye to as I was leaving. As the control tower supervisor at Daytona Beach International Airport I watched Air One ( the Sherrif’s Dept. helicopter) bring Crash to Halifax. I found out it was Crash when I got called to the radar room to help the other supervisor by handling the incident paperwork. The next morning I headed for DeLand where I found Bob and Rodrigo out on the deck. As I walked up Bob told me that Crash was gone. I was speechless and ended up taking the day off. Although Crash was only an acquaintance I felt connected to him the way that people who skydive do. Even though I am new to the sport, it is a connection that that grows with each I skydive. I will always remember Crash (Aaron) and the sample of his work that he shot of me will always be special.
